Aspen by Cathy: lamps as an art form
     | About Us:Uniquely Aspen by Cathy is a Colorado-based subsidiary of A & B Custom Kitchens and Baths, a cabinetry design company, representing Bertch Cabinetry, a “green” cabinet manufacturer. Using the “green” principle, these lamps were acquired, to be “up-cycled” at another time in their history, primarily because of the integrity of their origin design at the time of their manufacture. Often, older and seasoned products can be redesigned, embellished and adorned and presented in a form, greater than its original form. My lamps have been redesigned to represent an art form as much as they will be used for illumination. In their case, it is not important that they match an existing décor as would be the case of a sofa, rug, or a wood piece. Rather, they are designed to be in line with a fine-art painting, which is not cherished because of its quality as a “matching-piece” of décor. They have been embellished with only the finest of quality materials, stones, glass beading, crystal glass, handpainting, and in some cases, 19th century European salvaged trim from religious vestments. Consequently, what you see are one-of-a-kind, or perhaps a matching pair. The intention is that they will become heirlooms, to be passed down through the generations. These prices will only be offered on this site and to the trade. This designer is also prepared to redesign your special lamps that might, after years of love, need a facelift. ENJOY.
